The Main Loop Trail is a 1.2 miles through archeological sites. Ladders along the trail allow visitors to climb into cavates (small human-carved alcoves). The Main Loop Trail takes you past the Big Kiva, Tyuonyi, Talus House, and Long House. If you would like to extend your Bandelier hiking experience, you have many choices of hike like Alcove House, Falls Trail, Tsankawi, Frey Trail, Frijolito Loop Trail, Tyuonyi Overlook Trail, Burnt Mesa Trail, Cerro Grande Route, and Alamo Boundary Trail. Please inquire at the visitor center.
